About TML Cars

TML Cars is run by Thomas Ladyman, a lifelong car enthusiast with hands-on experience built from the ground up. Based in the village of Bayford, just outside Wincanton in Somerset, TML Cars operates from the Bayford Motors forecourt and specialises in offering carefully selected, well-prepared used cars at fair prices. Thomas began his career working on a local forecourt, starting with washing cars before progressing into professional valeting. In 2006, he became self-employed and founded TML Valeting, building a strong reputation and a loyal customer base, including several local car dealers. As those dealers began offering part-exchange vehicles for sale, Thomas naturally moved into vehicle retailing. As the market changed during the recession, car sales gradually overtook valeting, leading to the business evolving fully into TML Cars Ltd in 2012. Today, TML Cars continues to grow through repeat customers and recommendations, with a focus on honesty, preparation, and customer care. Every vehicle is personally checked and prepared — and yes, Thomas still takes pride in cleaning every car himself. TML Cars was Highly Commended at the Auto Industry Awards in 2018 and 2019, recognising the business as one of the leading independent dealers in the South of the UK.

FAQ

Can I part exchange my car?
Yes we can have a look at your part exchange and give you a trade in price. This is often a better price than you would get with a main dealer or if you sold it to a car buying service.
Can you deliver?
We can deliver for free within 50 miles of our postcode BA9 9NJ. Further afield may be possible for a fee.
What warranty is available?
All vehicles come with a 1 month warranty included. Most customers choose to extend it to 3, 6 or 12 months for extra peace of mind — totally optional. 3 Months £99 - 6 Months £199 - 12 Months £399 (Inclusive of VAT)
Do you offer finance?
Yes finance is available we are regulated and authorised by the FCA.
How can I pay for a car?
Balances are to be paid by bank transfer or cash up to £8,000. No card payments.
Do I get an MOT reminder?
You can register your email address with DVSA to get a reminder for your MOT.
Can I drive home in the same day?
Yes most deals including finance are completed in less than 1 hour, from test drive to paperwork completion subject to MOT status. Please ask beforehand.
Can I reserve a car?
If you’re coming to see us you can reserve a car with a £100 deposit over the phone or online bank transfer. The deposit is only for max 2 days to save any time wasting holding the car. i.e we can't hold it for a week or more. If you have been to see the car and the sale is agreed then a longer period can be agreed upon. For example we need to do an MOT or you need to get funds together.
